The lake of Carcans-Hourtin

The lac Carcans-Hourtin, located 40 min from Soulac-sur-Mer, is the largest natural freshwater lake in France with more than 6000 ha. It offers a 2 km long developed beach at Maubuisson, a protected eastern shore and small beaches hidden in the conches to the west. Bordered by dune and forest, its environmental quality gives the lake a wealth of heritage and protected species. It is ideal for bringing young children, away from the tumult of the ocean waves.

Sailors or sports fans should already be familiar with this lake thanks to the sailing competition, the Grand prix de Maubuisson, on the Bombanne estate.

Lac du Moutchic in Lacanau

The lac du Moutchic in Lacanau is famous in Gironde, 50 min from the camping Soulac-sur-Mer, you can enjoy a family moment.

The lake is located near Lacanau ville and Lacanau océan and welcomes all types of public: beaches, water activities, restaurants, you will find your happiness on site.

The Cousseau Pond

The National Nature Reserve of the Etang de Cousseau, hidden by the coastal dune cordon and the state forest of Lacanau, it is located 50 min from the Paradis des Pins campsite. It preserves a beautiful diversity of original landscapes. The 7 km of the visit path will allow you to make a small hike out of time. You will cross wooded dunes, change scenery through a forest of giant ferns while skirting the marshes.
